Raptor Day

Buzzard

On Sat 13th March, 10am - 1pm, Cambridgeshire Bird Club are planning a co-ordinated 3-hour Vantage Point Survey at as many sites across the county as possible. The survey requires an observer or observers to scan the skies and record the raptors they see during the 3-hour period.

The purpose is threefold:

1) Create an opportunity for CBC members to meet and share their birding

2) Organise a CBC event where members can base themselves on their own patches.

3) Generate raptor data suitable for submission to the BTO Atlas's Roving Records.

We would like to hear from anyone who is able to carry out a Vantage Point Survey.

The following is a table of Vantage Points declared so far (10th March). Please let me know if you can do a VP on your patch by e-mail at Duncan Poyser
